Crafting...Is it really worth it?

I've been reading some of the DK forums and noticed that some people have said that they crafted some legendary weapons...How does one craft a legendary weapon? (with the workbench obviously but does it take 4 unique items? How would one get a weapon to pop out of there?) My experience with crafting is that it's really just a crapshoot with what is produced and I personally am not trying to spend my gold and andermant on it if I am not pretty sure I am going to get something that I want.

No. In my opinion, it is better to just farm for drops and forget about crafting due to the ander/gold prices.

 

I craft a lot and I know others that craft way more than I do. One person told me they craft 6 to 7 legendary swords a day at 88 gold a pop. So you can see how much gold is needed.

You can craft a legendary item by putting 4 extraordinary items in the workbench. The level of the item you obtain is determined by the lowest level item you put in the workbench. You can control the type of the item you get by using 4 extraordinary items of the same type. For example, if you want a legendary 2 handed axe then put in 4 extraordinary 2 handed axes. You can also try adding 3 axes and one other item, say extraordinary gloves. This would give you a chance of obtaining axe with 3/4 probability, however there is a 1/4 probability that you get gloves.
As for the enchantments in the legendary(or any other) items you obtain, they're random. There can be good ones as well as the bad ones. I myself have got some pretty good items through crafting.

Don't spend your gold on crafting ... it is not worth.
Save your gold for the "Crafting 2.0" .
If that feature is lame as it is crafting now ... at least you will have a gold for gambling.

 

don't do it. farm fatal bosses for legs and put those gold for better use. gamble for special stones and clovers. if you craft there is very small percentage you'll get decent stats. totally not worth it

 

As this man said, that's the way to go.

Since you're a DK I get the importance of crafting, at least for weapons, because it's a bit of a pain farming for a specific type of weapon, that's why some people craft, they want specifically a sword, a mace, etc..., yet the enchantment values of an item that came out of the workbench are lame 98% of the time, that's why it's wise to wait for crafting 2.0, or if you're patient enough, keep farming the fatal boss of your preference until that type of weapon you want drops for you.

 

crafting should be totaly free..thats keep players busy from farming(ultimate bigpoint target) spending a lot of time crafting or at least should be free for delux premiums

 

No, it shouldn't be, nor for F2P nor for Premium/Premium Deluxe either.

As I stated before, I agree with the current crafting system being f...lawed, but with the rate you're able to get extraordinary items nowadays, a free crafting system would be utterly game breaking, if you give it a thought just for 2 seconds you'll realize how much of a bad idea it is...

 

Too gamebreaking. I can understand reduced crafting prices and/or even free crafting up to extraordinary items for premium purchasers, but free legendary crafting would probably be too much. Keep in mind that a deluxe premium user will be getting 200 anders per day as well as anders from cubes, and can allocate those anders to crafting costs.

 

it shouldn't be free but little more cheaper would be great. but as i said considering that fatal bosses drop 1-2 legs with every kill workbench is useless and gold eating feature

 

as i said before leg items stat is rubish even from fatal bosses so 99% is rubish made by work bench...so it should be free for delux users..this is one reason that makes me upgrade to delux

If it's rubbish, then why do you care if it's free or not?, free rubbish?. You still have 1% chance of getting a good item, so...

That price tag is there to protect abusing.
Remember the removal of 200 andermant character deletion price ... and the "friend invitation rewards"?

 

ander from cubes? realy have opened 1000's and no ander ever

 

Whenever you get unique item from the cubes you get 1000 andermant together with that item.

 

i have yet to meet anyone that has got a unique from a cube, so saying people are useing cubes as a source of ander is not at all a reality
