question about exploitation

is farming and trying not to grow in level considered exploitation?

 

It isnt exploitation. It is called twinking and a lot of people do it. It is an hated subject here though.

But I think you should level up to lvl 50 as normal. If your purpose is to beat everyone in pvp than you shouldnt twink but if you just want to be really good in pve than I guess you can.

 

As GodChronos said it's not an exploit, but it's a sleazy and disgusting way (in my opinion).

Ive been there with my second character. Not that I stayed very low on purpose, I was just leveling up very slow, through events and pvp, as I was affraid of pvp monsters on higher level. And it was like that 3 years ago, when pvp system matching was much worse, but now it drastically improved, so you are not going to always get a marshal with 75% win ratio if you a a newbie, you will also get a newbie as an opponent.

The deal is that staying low, or leveling up slowly (1+ year to get 45) I have missed a lot of game, I was not able to enjoy every aspect of it, farm PW etc. Once I got to lvl45 I understood that I should have leveled up at normal pace, and this is what I recommend you to do. Do not push hard to get to lvl50, but just work your way at a notmal pace, play all the events, do quests, grind for your lvl gear, and level up. With such approach you would always be ready for your level map, and you would eventually get into the painful mode of PW which isnt that complicated. Then team up with people like yourself and keep improving.

 

It is a cancer in the game that the developers have the power, but not the desire, to eradicate. The twinks in the game make them a lot of money and since it is not cheating to get stuff for free, BP doesn't seem to care that these players are ruining PvP for new lower level players.

 

As long as you are not "pushing" it is legal.

 

So I can farm to grow myself for the upper levels and for events, but i should not misuse that in the arena. Thank you for this clarification.

 

I think that is a good idea. Since with a lot of dmg at higher level it will allow you to kill a boss a lot more times per hour and level up faster. Just make to not pvp untill lvl 49-50.
