Just need more glyphs to get my crit rate back up to 80% since I lost about 400 crit from using the Dragonslayer quiver.

I like that second ring best. All the Crit damage lines are over 16% and no wasted gold lines like the belt or other ring where you "should" upgrade the item to get more crit (since the damage you would get from upgrading the second ring is insignificant.)

Crafted a 50% crit dmg belt for my DK, here you go:

Its a 3/4 leg, will craft another like this (have another 3 or 4 lines on greens/blues) and will aim for 66.5% crit belt. Had problem to move two blues onto a double-pink, but then the leg got crafted in i think 10 attempts or less.

    Cheers.

Beautiful! I love that all the lines are very impressive too! It is too bad that the crit line is as low as it is, but it is still better than an HP or Resist line. There will be many envious players when they see this item.

Here is the best I've managed to craft recently, but I'm just holding onto it until I craft my ideal 2H axe so that my DPS stays where I want it.

Great to see you guys have passion to go after the best gold lines. I lost mine so I accept any gold line. But my strategy is to craft any gold 4/4, and then focus on the best lines, as Im affraid getting the best possible will take me forever and all the effort will be wasted with lvl55/60 when it comes. 4x Critical damage items might be the only items worth going after.

Agreed... they will be future proof unless they ever raise the max value of a crit damage enchantment. That is why I plan on making a crit damage belt, even though I don't plan to use it... just in case I need it in the future.

So I finally got lucky and crafted my new staff

The CD line is a disappointment though. My last staff had a 1700 critical hit line, so switching to this one was a big hit to my CHR. Regardless, my DPI still went up by about 700 and it should improve a little more once Gnob has the armor of darkness on sale. The staff didn't do for my build as much as I hoped because of that CD line, but it still leaves me at only one more to go so I can craft a 4/4. It only took me one month from scratch to craft this one.

Happy to see that the tips finally paid off. Congrats on a rather impressive 2H. I agree that almost anything would have been preferable to a low crit damage line like that, but you can't argue that it is still an impressive weapon.

Yup, you were kind of my mentor on this one, so thanks for that :p. This weapon will take care of me pretty good while I work my way towards another one, but it still leaves a little bit of salt inside me knowing that it could also have been so much better. At least it will mean that I can finally start spending gold towards my other craft goals again.

You want salty? I made the following 4/4 legendary, but reverted it because the damage line wasn't what I needed/wanted... And this is after I wasted several thousand gold on legendary-->legendary crafts. :(

Most people would jump at the opportunity to have a weapon like that, but I had to flush it because I want something better.

With the amount of glyphs and the size of your gems, the loss of a huge IWD line is nothing small at all, I bet your current weapon would actually be better than that one just because of that. It must be painful to be so close to a perfect weapon yet so far at the same time :(When I saw the result of my craft and that CD line, the greedy guy inside of me was telling me to revert it, I probably stared at it for a minute or two before deciding to just take what I got before the RNG gods took a doodie on me and made me spend weeks trying to get another 3/4.

Thats similar to what I jumped too, but much much better. I also have 2 gold dmg% lines and one gold dmg line, but crit is much much lower, though overall better than my previous farmed one. Lost 7% crit with it, and now at 73%, but much much more dmg)

As a side question, why do you stick to axes? Is that a common sense between warriors axes are the best? Do you stick to dragan set? It would only make sense with dragan. If I were you, I would rather get a hammer with one crit line, 55%+ crit helmet, few 4x crit items on the left, 2.5 4x crit dmg items on thr left, and complete it with whatever gloves/pauldrons/torso/boots you like.

What does you target setup look like? Guess it is old dragan 3/3, two dragonache crit rings, that dream Axe, and then mix of crit and crit dmt amulets, belts and adornment?

Got unlucky again with the random enchantment, but I kept it anyway. The gold can be better used elsewhere.

Math. I did my calculations and the axe blows 2H swords out of the water due to the crit line enabling you to pursue high crit damage which is much more valuable once you approach the limit for damage. It also narrowly edged out a hammer when combined with the Black Warlord set. Others favor intuition and in this case their intuition about axes being better is right, but many are wrong when it comes to what stats to use. Most want 4x%damage or 3x%damage/1+damage, but the math shows that with enough crit damage and % crit from Bloodtooth, that a 3x%damage/1+crit axe was best in the end goal.

Right now, there are only two sets that really offer DKs any significant advantage, and they are the Bellicose set and the Black Warlord set.

The Bellicose set gives more damage, but at the expense of defense and flexability. The Warlord set gives less damage, but is more flexiable and has better defenses.

I prefer the Black Warlord set due to it's flexability. It takes the helmet, shoulders, and cape, and until recently, the helmet was the only item from there that offered any serious offensive advantage (in the form of % crit rate like you mentioned), but doing so would cost me too much damage. My existing damage multiplier for every +1 damage I add to my weapon from upgrades or rubies is worth 3.3573*(1.5+0.3)*(1.5+0.2392)=10.51. If I removed the 30% from the warlord set, this drops to a multiplier of 8.76. Basically, instead of giving 399 damage for every +38 ruby, I'd only get 332. That is a 17% damage drop from breaking that set that will only become bigger when I make a better torso.

Some people ask me why I don't just use the Belicose gloves with the Black Warlord set to overcome this, but there are two reasons. First, I would only gain 383 max damage and 298 minimum damage. This would only improve my DPS about 900 (which is 5% increase) at a loss of just over 3000 HP. If I wanted to lose HP to gain DPS, I'd rather use my 33% attack speed gloves and gain 3800 DPS (22% increase).

Also, while the Bellicose set allows you to use the new cape from the New Moon, it prevents you from using the boots from that set. Sure, I can't use the cape with my Black Warlord build, but I also don't have to go out and find a pair of shoulders that would benefit my build.

As it is, there is no item in my build that does not improve my DPS. Helmet/Shoulders/Cape is Black Warlord and are all there for the 30% 2H damage, Amulet/Belt is crit/crit damage, rings are Bloodtooths, each offering me nearly 1100 crit on top of their impressive ~1k HP, decoration of pure crit, uber weapon, white boots from new moon with crit damage, speed gloves, and a damage torso. While these can all be improved via crafting and getting better gems, there is no item wasted when it comes to building the offense. The only defensive item I have is a pair of 1964 HP gloves that I use in PvP and Fatal maps to boost surviability at the loss of attack speed which isn't a huge deal.

My target is a like you said, with two of the amulet/belt/adornment being crit damage and one being crit. My target DPS is about 25k while still maintaining 15k HP, 65% armor, and 50% resist, along with the Warlord's natural block stats. My biggest boost will come when I craft that axe and I'll jump up to about 24k DPS with the speed gloves and 20k with the HP gloves.

I'd put a Ruby in that 4th socket, no matter if smaller than the others, the value would be way better than the onix, kinda nice overall.
