Double question for buying with andermant or drakens.I think im not only one who has misscliked with right mouse button and accidently bought something from shop or some where else. Now it happend again with me and thought this could be very good thing to game progress .

A confirm window could be useful to the game in different places but I didnt see it get added in the past and not sure they will.

    Confirmation window in the shop???
I don't think so ... you can use right mouse click or left mouse click where it says "buy".

Yes extra confirm window if you wanna buy with ander or drakens to avoid accidental buys

No need for confirmation window. You don't need that in the middle of the fight ... or when trying to buy 20+ items by single click on each of them.

Turns out this is what happened to me (and what I mean in this thread). BTW, Allogeneous, I knew one of you'd apply that "we can't help you here, contact them" method and close it, but I hoped you'd at least read (closely) and see that I posted that only to ask if others were affected, because I wasn't sure what happened, or if it was related to R176, etc. (as it turns out, I bought glyphs but didn't notice such a thing for one second). I wasn't expecting a fix from the forum, LOL. Anyway, funny that the section in question (Technical Support) is a bit misleading (thus the people actually thinking posting there will fix it for them) and many threads in them have been dealt with the mentioned method. Why does it even exist xD ? Anyhow, it doesn't matter anymore... and if this is to be deleted, at least leave the second part, please :p.

Anyhow, yes! Confirmation windows are bloody necessary! In many places that are currently lacking one, especially when dealing with currencies! And in the case anyone wants a specific one to stop appearing, just make it like the one at removing gems/glyhs (ticking the option of not showing the said window in the future) and problem solved (e.g. in a case like post #5 depicts). As said, it seems I spent 5k on glyphs... but as that's one of the dumbest things you can buy with Ander, OFC I didn't do it on purpose. Think it was while upgrading, as I got to 0 at one point. Now I'm hoping they can revert it for me. A confirmation window would have prevented all this and any other similar issues people may have had until now or which may arise in the future! However, it's just too bad, because as GodChronos said, we'll probably not see this anytime soon. Cash-mounts or other insignificant things are surely a priority over such things that actually have some importance attached to them.

Happened to me too. "Luckily" it was just a little over 500 ander, o_O, I could've used those on better things if there was a freaking confirmation button.

  8. It was closed because the old fella in question was 99% certain that no bug was behind it. Rushing to the forum and doing a Chicken Little impersonation when you miss-click does not help anyone. Your "issue" was resolved. You're welcome.

EDIT And yup, I take responsibility that it was my mistake, but lacking a confirmation window (again, especially where currency is involved - a high price for lame return, at that) and due to fast-clicking, I had no idea whatsoever what had happened. I didn't even notice right away. It was, has been and still is and will be an issue, not an "issue", for as long as there are places where one could inadvertently use currency with no intention/will of doing so (crafting and upgrading are but two confirmed cases where this was a problem). Sadly, I think someone had asked Haruki about this not too long ago and she said, IIRC, that more confirmation windows are not to be introduced anytime soon. Shame. And again, only reason I rushed to the forums was to ask if anyone else had what I thought might've been (another) bug in the lovely releases lately. Can you blame me :p ? Is that not what the Tech. Support section is for? I thought it was a bug since I was baffled why I had 5k less all of a sudden, so I went there; plus, as I wrote there, I didn't post in the feedback thread as, even thinking it might've been a bug then, was still not sure if it was and/or if it had any relation to 176, so didn't want to post false feedback. Rest assured that if I had known and noticed what truly happened from the start, I wouldn't have had uncertainties and would have gone directly to Support :p. Not everyone here is as silly as it'd seem to y'all xD. I'll be sure to be more careful from now on, but hey, everyone makes mistakes :p. Also, to end on a funny note... I'm not old xD; I mean, it's not me who has a picture of an elderly man as their avatar, hehe :D. All's well when it ends well, eh? Have a good day, King Arthur :);).

You don't use the shop too often ... therefore you don't realize what would confirmation window look like if implemented.
Again ... there is no need for that. That is shop use it responsibly and carefully ... also when you try upgrading your items and you are short in GoPs ... you can't miss "buy now" with "upgrade " button.

Uh, Allogeneous... you saying my issue was solved is OK, but me doing the exact same thing is not xD ? Tehehe...
I wasn't talking about the shop. That's a list you browse and select what you want. But what if for some reason you click twice or your mouse is acting up and you do that same thing? Some time ago, a brilliant "fix" they brought was that the Pudgy Dragonspawn could be bought more than once again. Why would anyone do that? Unless they are in the dark about the game, they won't. That or - here's the magic - accident-clicks (or if they destroyed it - but in that case I guess the sensible person would contact Support as opposed to farming and purchasing again) - but that's a slightly different discussion. I was pleading for confirmation windows where one could mis-click. And yes you can... I did, so have others in the past (both when upgrading and when crafting). So, just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist :p. Have you really never had any sort of slip xD ? If you really wanna know how, I'll prove: I had several items ready and wanted to upgrade them in sequence... a little slip of attention and fast-clicking and BAM, Ander gone. The rest is history; I'm just happy the end was not an unpleasant one :).

Been there, done that. The first day I came back to the game I accidentally bought a chicken pet, and even though I sent a message to support 2 minutes later telling them what happened and the exact time, they refused to give it back using the excuse that they couldn't tell whether I did it on purpose or not (why the * would I buy something and ask for a refund 2 minutes later before even using it?) This was the spanish support team though, I wish I wasn't sent back there. I liked the EN team much better, they would actually show some sensitivity and interest towards the issue, as they did with you, Morinphen. Pretty funny how the two teams can have such different reactions huh?

Confirmation windows are clearly needed, I also accidentally wasted some ander a few days ago on glyphs but didn't bother going to support this time because why would I waste my time again. Saying that we should be more careful when using shops is bull. Noone goes around expecting it to happen, nor did I think it would ever happen to me, but it just does. It's such a simple thing to implement and hurts noone, I see no reason why anyone on their right mind would be against it.

  13. The "old fella" was in reference to yours truly.
You mistake "insensitivity" with "statement of facts". Which is more useful here:
    1) We admins sit down with the player in question and sing a few rounds of "Kumbuya my lord", or
    2) I the facts and quietly do my job in the background (in this particular instance, include the suggestion in the Weekly Report as I did yesterday, three weeks ago and on two other separate occasions further back)?

I think you took what I said the wrong way :). What I meant was that I always had very good experiences with the EN team but not so much with other ones. I am sure you guys have reported this many times, as this isn't the first time someone suggests it. Now the question is, how long will they actually take to put this into the game?

An unrelated question and I'm sorry for going off topic, but are we allowed to choose which support team we use? Because for a while I used to write to the EN team, but IIRC (was a long time ago, probably around two years) on one of my tickets to them, I was answered by the ES team that I should be writting to them instead. Needless to say, I'm not too happy about that these days

Sorry to hear that your problems didn't get solved, though :(.
    My bad, misread/misunderstood :D.

  16. Ah. Sorry.

Yes, a little off-topic, but this ain't an official feedback thread, so a little wandering is ok

I really can't say if/when the confirmation steps will be implemented in the game. I'm sure it wouldn't be particularly complex to code, but it would draw a designer/programmer away from their existing work schedule. That has to be justified. I have argued (in the Weekly Reports) that a) it is very frustrating for players, and b) it results in some rather irate tickets (often the player will claim that BP has stolen their anders or that the game is bugged - along with a bunch of exclamation parks and expletives), and c) it wastes a lot of ticket faerie time trying to track down exactly what happened and then reverse it. So.... I am sure it will be on the list of "To do's". Lets give our new CM a chance to settle in and I'll start nagging him in a week or two :D

Re. your assigned Support team: it's simple (generally)... and yet a little obscure and very inflexible too. Let's say, as a completely random example, someone lives in a coastal country just to the West of Brazil, South of Ecuador/Colombia and North of Bolivia. The dominant language in that country is Spanish. It's probable that when they set up their a/c, they will select Spanish as their language. What they aren't told is that that language choice will then be locked in for their a/c and it cannot be changed. And that it is used to designate their a/c to the associated Support language team. There are some good reasons for this, of course.
    1) If someone writes to the DSO English Language Support in perfect English asking for assistance, but their a/c is Romanian-registered and they don't speak/understand a word of Romanian, alarm bells start going off. It's likely a traded/shared a/c
    2) By enforcing the rule that only assigned language Support teams can make a/c edits (refunds, item/character restorations, etc), it helps prevent cases of players writing to multiple different language teams with an "iffy" request, hoping that one of the teams won't know the BP policy
Having said that, there are some very good reasons as to why a player may wish to switch to a different language team. e.g.
    1) Some third party sign-up sites (e.g. Armor Games) automatically lock a player into a language and country (German/Germany in this case) - regardless as to what their actual language and country is
    2) The player is fluent in multiple languages and "randomly" picked one, but found that they clash too much with that language team and would like to switch to a different one. We are all human, and personality clashes can happen. Not with me, of course, because I am just too nice... {cough}
    3) The player has moved and has requested a Geo-IP reset and would also like to use the language team appropriate to the country that they are now in.
My own personal view is that players should be able to switch one or two times per annum after sending adequate proof that they are the legit a/c owner.
You are free to contact any language team for general advice. If you really, *really* want to switch to a different language team completely, it is your right. But you will need to contact the language team that you'd like to switch to and make your request clear + give your reasons. The team will escalate the request to their ICM who will check with the other team's ICM and then decide. I know it's a lot of fiddling around, but that's BP bureaucracy.

Edit to add: One more thing to consider when you have a disappointing experience with a Support language team: we're all human. Mostly. Generally. Sort of. We have all the usual pressures/stresses - families, jobs/studies, etc. And, regarding ticket handling in particular, we have a fairly strict set of rules which we all have to follow. Are *meant* to follow, anyway. If you've had a less-than-ideal encounter with a ticket faerie, it may be that they've inadvertently let a little of the crap from real life affect their communication, or they are simply sticking to the letter of BP's regulations re. your request. If you are really unhappy with their reply/action, tell them so. Politely. If you get no joy from that, ask for the issue to be escalated to the head tickety person or to their ICM.

No worries. It was a little ambiguous :D

That is a rather accurate "random" example :p
Thanks for the explanation, I guess switching from one support team to the other would be too much effort and probably not worth the trouble. And you're right, I might have just had bad luck encountering someone that wasn't on a good mood that specific day, which can happen to anyone.

  18. The admins on that language team who I have chatted with seem to be really nice. I'd suggest giving them another chance. If it doesn't work out, fire a ticket at the EN team and we'll see what we can do for you.
