Certainly well on it's way to perfection. Can you post the stats with them equipped as opposed to comparing them to an item in use so that we can see the individual lines?

Ofc :p [IMG] Its a shame that those enchantments aren't really perfect lines of 10 :/ But it seems nice comparing with other items xD

    Two questions:
    1. What do you lose? If you are losing two other really good gold % damage lines (77% or higher for example), then I'd say probably not.

2 Can you use it no as a big improvement over your existing weapon? If so, yes. It will help you collect the items to make one in the future. Sometimes the high pay off now is better than waiting for a slightly better pay off in 4-6 weeks.

    Good luck.

the sword in the 1st slot has the following lines "96 dmg , 77.64 iwd, 70.45 iwd , 44.85 iwd , 4 slots (2 golden lines)" ; the axe in 2nd slot "68.99 iwd, 74.83 iwd , 1311 crit . 1457 crit, 3 slots (1 golden line)" I had a hammer in the 3rd slot with another gold line of 70.45 iwd but its gone now.. so its a loss of one gold line iwd I guess, If I choose to accept it, and loss of one gold line if I revert also.

not really sure if it's a big improvement, but the dps seems pretty high without any gems.. I'm not sure how to calc total dps with only weapon dps as input either.

I'd have liked one additional amont of crit line, but now that Ive got such a weapon I'm thinking of switching to the new "defensive dragan set (from Black Widow)" and use a crit helm (Ive a 42% crit helm with 3 slots), do you think its better than the old dragan set @_Baragain_ ?

It sounds like a good craft given what went in and I hope you kept it. Your crit may suffer, but with the old Dragan set, you should be able to reach some rather impressive damage given that it is a hammer. For crit, you can still make it work with a crit belt/crit decoration and 2x Bloodtooth and still have 50%+.

Why the sapphire in the weapon? No spare rubies?

At the lev of his rubies i believe he just need the speed gem to break a resistance lev.

I think 3 royals and 2 sacred rubies would better than 4 royal rubies and a sacred sapphire given that 227% line. Plus, I aaume he is using that 50%weapon damage talent, or at least is in pve.

I was running with 3 Royal 2 sacred, but after opening the solstice box and opening the Joker gem i crafted the 4th Royal cause i experience much better DPI increase by replacing 200 basic dmg ( 20dmg loss from rubys) for 9% att speed (from the sacred sapphire)
There is not almost difference between 6822 and 7024 max dmg in gaming experience...

    ooooh almost!... reverted

    i'll keep trying :D

Two days of hard farming in q3 Painful (mode 1) for purple staves and gold, spending around 2000 gold total, and I finally got a good staff.
Unfortunately I was only able to transfer the lowest ~70% lines (lost a 71.6% and a 75.9%) but beggars can't be choosers. The 55% line was random and I also got to transfer a 117 damage line which was not bad after all (from a random purple staff nonetheless).
Need tons of patience to get something better than this.

how are you guys getting all these gold lines on 1 item. 10k gold wasted and my crafts still come out crap. is there a secret to the crafting table . even if i put all my gold lines down it makes random crappy lines. seems my guy does not have luck in crafting. guess my lower toon has the luck. makes no sense

You need lots of patience and farm my friend. This is the strategy I've started to develop to be more efficient in this sense.
Again, I might be speaking common sense, so if that's the case, sorry mate.
I'm kind of a nooby at this but I found quick results with the system below.

    1. Farming for materials
If you want to start crafting, obviously you need materials.

Decide what you are looking for
Don't farm for a specific single type of item though - try to think what you need on the long run and keep whatever gold you like. I am looking for the following for instance:
Rings, Belt, Amulet, Adornment - Critical Damage, Critical Hit Chance (I prefer not to hybridize so consider two sets of items I am aiming for here)
    Book - Critical Damage
Weapon - Increased Weapon Damage %
    Armor - Damage %
Helmet - Critical Hit Chance %
    Gloves - Attack Speed %
    Boots/Pauldrons - don't care (not playing PVP so I don't give a rat's... tush... for movement speed)

    What to keep
Whenever I get a green or blue item with a golden/worthy line in this sense, I keep it.
For purple items, they'd better have two worthy lines in this direction. (otherwise I end up cluttering my inventory like crazy at this point)
I don't bother with legendaries unless they are amazing (three worthy lines... yeah right!)

    Where to farm
I go Q3 fatal in this direction and do the three bottom bosses, rinse, repeat. It takes me 4 minutes to do this.
If fatal is too hard, go excruciating.
If excruciating is too hard, go painful.
Gold lines can drop on all difficulties, so don't try too hard on a difficulty that is too hard for you. The trick is to be efficient, fast, and patient.
If you can get a friend or two to farm with you in this style, you already have some fun on your hands too.

Where most people (including me) fail
If you settle for suboptimal worthy lines. Say like I did with my first ring.
If you have one awesome line, and three mediocre ones (say, a 16% critical, and three 13.5-13.9%), if you can afford, wait for better ones. If even so it's a big improvement, maybe those mediocre ones are for now good enough for you.
Otherwise, when going to legendary, it is highly possible you might lose your awesome line to the mediocre ones...
Happened to me, not doing this again.

Also, don't be surprised if you end up with whole days of not finding something good enough. I have yet to find 3 more gloves with proper attack speed (I have found as of today only one with 9.4% attack speed). Two helmets only and one armor.
But I decided I just need to be patient. And farm!

    2. Going deep with crafting
Once you found your blue items (four of them in my case, or rarely two blues and one extra), you are ready to go at the next level of crafting.
Indeed, this is expensive as hell and takes a long time.

    Where to farm
I don't care about the quality of the items anymore. I just want purples... and lots of gold.
So where do I go for this? Q3 painful of course. Same strategy above, takes me 1 to 2 minutes to do the three bosses.
A bit of blue on the bosses, otherwise just green essence.

    That map is crazy!
I got tons of essences, potions, andermant and of course items... you name it.
Plus you get up in the leaderboard just by doing this.
3 bosses... repeat... 3 bosses... repeat.... gets a bit boring every now and then so take a break from it if you must.
I think I did the map over 120 times yesterday only. But it paid off! (you can check the leaderboard, I get between 180 and 300 and something points per run).

    Where people can fail here
If you are impatient and settle for a suboptimal result in your craft.
I am not convinced I did not do that yesterday (see my post above). But it delivered a much better weapon than what I had before. So I kept it!
Sometimes it's okay for it to be an incremental process, but then you have to accept you have to start from scratch...

And ultimately you don't care about perfect lines but about getting better items.
The better you are, the more you can farm. The more you can farm, the better items you will find.

Best of luck mate! Hope my rambling at least lets you know that you are not alone in this neverending quest of self-improvement.

yea i been doing all this. craft from green and still random lines. craft 4 items all with gold lines and maybe get 1 gold line come out. dont make sense
