Unless I am wrong, dragan should be in Agathon server... just delays or are you postponing it again? o_O

    Hey there,

    So sorry for that.
We passed it to our Team. I am afraid that only tomorrow we will get an explanation for the situation :(

For now, on American Servers, event has not started yet.
    Cheers and remain patient.

Is it just the Agathon Server that the event is not running on? It's kind of lame not posting about the delay. Many people waiting around for nothing.

Shouldn't there be an updated FAQ ?

The guide is not valid. Please post the official guide for this particular event. It's already day 2 and we don't know anything about the rewards. Also pearls for statues are wrong as far as I have seen. More than that the minis shown here are not the ones that are going to be live in a few days...
Come on guys I don't think that it's a big trouble to post at least that.
    Thanks!

You could take a look at the wiki post regarding this event. It's been accurately updated by trakilaki (I'm doing so much product placement here people will start to think I'm actually contributing to that wiki when in fact I keep saying "I'll start tomorrow")

Anyway... regarding the current feedback, I want to praise the team for listening to the players' requests regarding Black Warlord Regalia set. Last time people complained that the sale occurred prior to the event so many couldn't earn the last few drakens to buy it. Now the sale is available thorough the entire period of the event and immediately after a prolonged Full Moon nonetheless (3 days instead of 2). This shows the team is listening and doing an effort to make sure the players have a nice experience with these sales.

Whoever facilitated this to happen, you have a big thank you from my part! I got the last few drakens I needed for the set during the Full Moon but I bet a lot of players will rejoice the sale exists thorough the entire period of the event.

It's also a good idea you are mentioning these sales in advance - helps people prioritize what to invest their drakens in.

    Hey there,

Latest news about Tegan and Agahton issues HERE.

The link is for the latest version FAQ, yes. We did not receive any update, so we have no "order" to do a new FAQ.
Anyhow, everything remains like before, except that we will have 3 challenges instead of 2.

    Cheers and good luck!

I would have preferred more farming time between the start of the event and the start of the first challenge. Drop rate on normal in Jullov's Lab is between 24 and 40 event progress (plus 14 for the statue, but at 50 pearls that's a ripoff "bonus" kill), so between 30 and 50 runs = 3,000 to 5,000 cursed pearls. Pearl drop rate in the main castle itself, even on Painful, is awfully low for my weak relatively newly Lvl50 RA ... let's say 200 pearls per hour (I think it's been closer to 100, but haven't measured it accurately) as I have to work at killing mobs using green essence. That's 15 to 25 hours just to farm pearls for entrances to Jullov's Lab, not to mention the time in the Lab itself, ~10-15 minutes per run, so 5 to 12-1/2 hours of hacking. All in all that 20 to 37-1/2 hours of effort crammed into 3 days.

Yes, there was some pre-challenge farming time, but not much, especially for those of us on Tegan and Agathon as the main event started something like half a day late. I just don't have 7 to 12 hours a day for 3 days straight. Too bad, as I'd love to get some of those rewards (HP skull, e.g.).

As for Dragan, I have to play him perfectly, as he one-shots me ... and the rewards are meh. I really wanted the old pauldrons with their block strength as well as block rate, as I could use them while still running with a crit rate/dmg quiver instead of a shield. Yeah, the block strength is a bit wimpy, but it's something that I could have running all the time instead of having to constantly switch gear between offensive and defensive depending on the mobs/mini-boss/boss at hand. The new event pauldrons are missing block strength, so are only useful when combined with a shield, not a quiver. I'm still 1,300 draken away from being able to buy the Tier III old black wardlord pauldron from Gnob. Don't know if I'll be able to grab that many draken as I doubt I'll get far in any of the challenges, but at least it's a possibility (cheers for making the old stuff available for purchase; boo for creating the crappy new gear which makes Dragan runs pointless).

Oh, and it's been said many times before, but hisssssss for making unique drops at Dragan and Arachna (not her name, but I'm too tired to look it up) non-guaranteed. The value of the event has been so watered down that I didn't even try at all last tme when my toon was even weaker, and am not going to bust my b*lls this time around either, just casually see if I get lucky with junk gear for crafting, and hope to gather enough draken for that Black Warlord Pauldron purchase.

More and more, these events seem to have been tweaked to only satisfy heavy payers and true endgamers. Those of us with in between toons are falling farther and farther behind and/or dropping out of the game altogether. Nice work, DSO :)

if you are having so much trouble solo why not join a guild or at least groups for farming painful map. The drops for everything are excellent as well as pearls. If on Agathon message littlehink or Hm107 and we can help

I second this remark. Farming for pearls on the normal map is a pain in the tush. It takes forever to get a decent amount, especially when you need so many for mini events. Depending on your luck and speed you can farm a lot more pearls in the painful map. Even so, the farm does take a while, but at least the bosses guarantee an extraordinary item (decent glyphs farming as well), plus the andermant drop is better.

I'm on Tegan ... are there any guilds there? I should read that part of the forum. But when I click on the guild tab in the social aspects window, it doesn't list any guilds, just offers me a chance to pay to create my own.

I'm actually more interested in finding gold lines and 3 or 4 slot junk green/blue items for crafting than EXO items for melting. That said, I'm splitting my time between Normal and Painful. On Painful I tend to skip the mini-boss Knights as they can be too strong for me, especially those with the fire-circle: That's a one-touch death for me still with my best resistance items and shield equipped.

Unfortunately, guilds aren't listed in-game. You can find a list of guild introductions here and you can advertise here that you are looking to join a guild. If you post information about yourself, be sure to include the server.

    Hi all ...
Just a few thoughts on the Dragan weapons .. One of my friends finally got his last drop and was able to craft the dragan bow .. he also had enough fire stones to make it fire enchanted.
My problem is with the fire enchantment. Rangers, as well as Spellweavers, and Steam Mech's are all ranger fighters. I watch my friend fire arrows at mobs and as the last of the mobs dies, the fire enchantment finally kicks in. Now, Not only is there no mobs by him, but any in the area are already dead. First, shouldnt the buff be in the arrows??? fire bow should shot fire arrows, once the buff is activated that is. This way they are sure to get a benifit from the elemental dmg from the weapon, instead of it activating an Area of Effect buff when there is nothing near the player. Kinda makes the AoE buff useless.
My second problem is this AoE fire buff, LOOKS JUST LIKE THE AoE FIRE BUFFS FROM BOSSES!!!! severaal times I jumped away thinking a fire/teleport mini boss just jumped into the middle of us. Elemental Buffs for players should be distinguishable from mini boss/boss buffs.
I can see how AoE buffs are useful to DK's as they are always surrounded by mobs. Most players I know that play ranged fighters try to keep the mobs away as much as possible making AoE buffs of limited usefulness.

I compare it to the Gwernfara Ghost Bow. It has 2 buffs. An AoE that reduces the dmg inflicted by mobs inside the buff. And a buff for +25% dmg to the player. The dmg buff applies even if you are outside the AoE buff range, it stays with the weapon, as the elemental buff should do on the Dragan weapons.
Again, this is just my humble opinion on the matter.

    Thanks, Doc.

Then your friend is pretty powerful. I don't mind the nova explosion on my spellweaver - especially since I usually stay in close proximity to the monsters so that the Frozen Sphere can catch both path as well as explosion damage on the boss monsters. Plus I use singularity both as an offensive and defensive skill (armor reduction + cooldown reduction). So I guess it depends on your playstyle and it does take some adjustment if you feel the effect is significant.
I know of good rangers who jump in the middle of the mobs and spell death on them (in Q3 Fatal nonetheless). So the whole "ranged fighters" statement is relative and depends on the range I guess ;) (range can mean a distance of 300 or a distance of 800)

    Super Scary Bug :)

Met a Firegiant miniboss around Mini 1 Julov entrance. Figure to give it a run... and it followed mua all the way to the entrance. I bet this will be scary for lower optimal gear pplz :)

Not much of a difference from the previous event. Mostly recycling and marketing changes. I mention this strictly because there are certain specific topics that were addressed that could have at the very least received an official response (especially if many people raise them up).
My feedback is rather similar to the previous one, namely:

    1. Great job with the Black Warlord Regalia offer
You listened to our feedback and brought the offer thorough the entire period of the event. Yay for that! This gave a chance for both the users who needed the event to accumulate the final drakens as well as those who wanted to purchase the set and enjoy it thorough the event.
In the end this makes a lot of sense... since the set is conceptually connected to the event, it's the most well-thought Gnob offer you guys could come up with it.
    Well done!

    2. Ravencaw Painful drop is good
Can't complain about it really, it's a good farming map. The extra items guaranteed ensures the quality the drop. I've also had legendaries as well as uniques drop, making the map comparable to the PW Painful maps. Keep it up this way!

    3. Dragan drop is fine
I hear a lot of people complaining that the set is difficult to assemble, and from my point of view that's fine.
If you want to assemble it, you have to work for it. Otherwise everyone you end up having the set in one event - and then, next time, what do we complain about? Nothing new added to the event, no new uniques or gems or whatever... These events are done to be repeated, and to be repeated the drop needs to reflect this.
This is similar to the New Moon set but please bear in mine I am fine here, not there. Here at least you can do Dragan as many times as you want (not to mention you have a lot more time).
Sure, at times it's frustrating not to drop one unique from Dragan after having killed him 10 times consecutively but that's the game and we need to adjust our expectations as such.
This is really a problem of people's attitude and overall entitlement. We expect to get everything we want, and we expect it now! This does not teach people patience, and doesn't teach people work. If everyone got their full-gear character in a month or two, why else would we keep playing? The game is done, and you wait for the level 55. Meh...

    4. Black knights on the Painful map are still useless
We've been complaining repeatedly about the stationary black knights dropping nothing useful yet being so darn difficult.
On the normal map they guarantee pearls and are rather easy to do (d'oh, normal map). On the painful map on the other hand... 100 coins and a regeneration sphere?! What am I supposed to do with that when normal monsters drop me better stuff.
They are incredibly difficult to kill - and again, that's not a problem, but then adjust the drop proportionally with the difficulty. That's golden rule for everything: you work hard, you ought to get proportional rewards (hah, am I being a bit entitled here? maybe)
Right now, people just ignore the knights as they complicate a bit the map but are still useless overall... It's especially annoying when I get someone new to the event in the group and they start awaking the knights and leads to frustration and rambling. As I said, counter-intuitive.
Recommendation: guaranteed extraordinary (it's a special monster on a painful map, be consistent!) + guaranteed pearls (consistent with the knights from the normal map).

    5. 60 pearls statues have horrific drop
The monsters are so difficult to kill yet the drop is so volatile it's not worth the pearls and the effort. They don't guarantee pearls, they don't drop at least an extraordinary, they don't drop the costumes anymore... why kill them?! Another great idea turned useless by the drop.
Recommendation: guaranteed extraordinary (special monster on painful map) + guaranteed large pearl (you could play with probabilities here between a black pearl for normal and a red pearl for painful-extraordinary)

    6. Heredur/Sargon difficulty is poorly scaled (way too difficult)
You want to farm pearls? You go for Heredur. Sargon is way too strong and doesn't drop anything comparably better.
Besides this, Heredur is much more difficult to kill than Dragan himself at the same difficulty. Doesn't make sense...
Did I mention their drop besides the pearl is horrible?
To differentiate, Sargon (being more difficult) also ought to have something to give players an incentive to farm him.
Recommendation: guaranteed extraordinary (special monster on painful map), difficulty adjusted, unique item drop chance from Sargon from his old sets (the sets are not very good anyway, and wouldn't destabilize the game, but I'm sure players would love the occasional uniques and would invite them to farm him)

    7. Mini-maps cost way too much pearls
I gave up trying to do the repeated quests. Nothing good in the chests, nothing worth for me wasting my time.
Recommendation: Either reduce the costs OR increase the drop from the chests - guaranteed black pearl at least for the last two maps, plus a minimal guaranteed draken drop (say 5 or 10?) or gem

    8. Mini-events pearl cost increased
Yet the pearl drop did not. For someone to make the event, it's very difficult to prioritize between this and Dragan unless you play a lot. Which again, might not be in itself a bad idea, but 150 pearls for one entry sounds like a lot of pearls. Especially when you need to repeat it 15-20 times.
As an observation I did notice most players do the challenges on normal difficulty. The increased difficulty doesn't come with a better dop and the scaling of the difficulty is absurd. Again, rewards vs. difficulty. If you offer the same thing on multiple difficulties, people choose the lower one. It makes sense!

That's about it from me :)
Most of the issues and ideas specified above explain why players ignore tackling certain aspects of the event. It's quite a shame especially since the ideas are really nice and if so much effort has been put into something so complex, players ought to actually play and take advantage of this diversity.
