I wanted to say that I agree with the above 150%, but for the sake of correct mathematics, I will limit my agreeing to 100% ))))
    Neat post.

Me myself playing a DK class (main char), I am very much against the Life Keeper type of weapon being present in the game. When it was just introduced I was selfish in my liking it. Sebastian is right, it should have never been brought into Drakensang.

This guy seems pretty gracious now and it fact healing part shouldnt exist at the start of the game in pvp and they took it as it should be in this manner.
And when they got nerf , they started to cry for mummy and daddy for help saying it shouldnt be in this way for a melee fighter without healing and so the list just goes on.

I have a lvl 33 Ranger, Oakhand, I have collected several "maps" to the Viscanium but every time I enter I am overwhelmed by enemies, so I am on the verge of giving up and just concentrating on my preferred regions, the Hailstorm Mountains and the Northland area out of Jarlshofn. It just isn't enjoyable to go into the Viscanium to get mauled and reborn at the entrance.

If someone is using lifekeeper, you can't be hitting a high block dk with low damage at 3.3 attack speed. He's going to mitigate a lot of that damage between lifekeeper reheal, that taunt reheal, and possibly any regen gear.

You need to boost your damage per hit by reducing attack speed and boosting damage, crit, and crit damage.

Lifekeeper is one of those factors pushing everybody towards 1 hit kill builds.

True. but doesnt it sound fundamentally wrong?) speed is obsolete. defensive setups obsolete. low dmg skills obsolete.

Apparently, folks at BP have no idea about PVP they created, never played it themselves at okay level.

Not a HardCore character but has what it needs to be able to kill...
I only swap the torso sometimes to the dark one, it swaps a few damage, about 70 to +15%crit and 2000 def...

    Ok, this explains everything......
That damage is very very low, you definitely do not need that speed with this sort of damage.............

Yes, the game has gone too much in the direction of 1 shot kills. Nevertheless, still need to be able to adapt if you want to keep on playing....

Compare your guy with the above guy. Obviosly, he's put more work in, but you can see how this build is better for dealing with an exhaustion dk.

    So I see...
    It was so much expected...
Whenever someone sees a stat window starts to come up with an another one just to prove there are so much more to achieve...

    To start with:
    1. I don't have 10+ hours to play every day, only about 1,5-2 but mainly less than 1,5 on weekdays...
    2. Since I don't spend all my day at my computer I cant farm items in fatal dungeons just to craft and gamble with it, its all becom wasted time.
    3. With those items I have its pretty much limited how much damage I can reach up to.

But it seems its again forgotten that I had to pump 10-15 times more damage into a character than its actual life was without being able to kill it.
Is that really that secondary? It had its life pushed down below 30% 3 times in every turns. Isnt it disgusting?

By the damage and speed I see on the char that's shown I see only the Bomb shooter-roadrunner - hit and run build. And mainly a PVE build...
I tried it, its not my style to play. I mainly play 6v6 and 5v5, where with that 1,6 speed there is no much chance to even lift the bow before you get a hit or get killed. Not to mention the other roadrunners who you cant even land a hunting arrow on cause they run twice faster than the arrow flies... The animation speed sticks you to the ground. By the 3+ speed I have the chance to land the first shoot and even more... By its defense it cant even stand more than I do...

Old boxing adage: styles make fights.

What does this mean for pvp? Certain pvp builds can handle a first set of pvp builds better and another different set of pvp builds worse.

My point was to show that their are builds that can handle the lifekeeper exhaustion dk, as well as buolds that cannot. Your build is the very type of ranger the exhaustion dk is meant to take advantage of. If you want to do a high attack speed ranger build (which probably was the most common level 45 build), you have to understand that you are going to lose often to lifekeeper exhaustion dks.

Save the maps, pickaxes, etc. (if you have space) and do the event when you are a higher level and in a group. As a Ranger, you have limited options to freeze the groups for long enough to kill them if you don't do enough damage. Grouping with either a tank that can draw them away from you, or a spellweaver who can keep them in place, or a steam mechanicus who can reduce their armor, will go a long way towards making the map more doable.

Thanks for that response, I have space as I have a premium account. I know that it is possiible to go in as group of 4-5 players but I am in my mid-70s and I know from observing the younger players that my reactions are nowhere near as fast as theirs. I rely on using the fastest shooting rate I can with my robust Norland shortbow (unique item).

I have another question. My spellweaver, who is now at lvl 38 completed the quest for a first cloak, but was told it would cost 100 gold. I don't have that much, but if I knew how much andermant that was I could use andermant instead of gold? Or is that not possibe, does it have to be gold?

Nope, you gonna need the gold.

My DK was forewarned via my SW. So from very early on I didn't buy any of the little buffer "foods", didn't gamble with my gold, and the DK got the Cloak of Power long before my SW. It also helps to gamble the andermant you pick up (which has gold rewards). My DK, in one gambling session (about 4000 andermant - 40 type that I had collected) went from 592 gold to 765 gold. At the time I was logging my gold from each run to fill my inventory (selling white/green/blue, melt purple/orange/yellow) and was averaging 3.5 to 4 gold per run. Thus the gambling saved me some time.

You'll need 1000 gold for the cloak after the 100 gold one. Start selling jewelry rather than melting them. Those are typically worth significantly more than other items with the same melting value.

Thanks for the tips, It was 1000 gold I meant, no way I could have that much.
