Block Shield Bug?

    Hi,

    I am recent posting in the forum, but not reading it though :).

    Can you please check my stats in this char with Vargulf Shield and then with one that has almost the same percentage of blocking? It seems it ignores the lines with that percentage leaving me with no blocking at all (18%). Do you think this might be a bug as it is a crafted shield?

    Humm, seems this percentage might be calculated over the block strenght, which is less. Is that it? if yes, sorry for the dumb question.

    Regarding your question: Vargulf's Round Shield has a higher base Block Rate at level 50 than the crafted extraordinary item you're showing on the picture (2776 vs 1046), so, let's assume your Vargulf's shield has a minimum of 100% increased block rate vs ~142% in your crafted shield, these percentage based enchantments are going to apply to the absolute value of the enchantment they're modifying, in this case, the block rate.

    With this in mind, in this particular situation, and even without knowing the exact value for the % increased block rate on your Vargulf's shield, it's expected that it provides a higher value of effective block rate on your character screen vs your crafted shield (7135/45.30% vs 2909/18.47%) simply because the base value of Vargulf's shield is higher, even if the multipliers in it are similar or lower than those in your crafted item.
