    Same here.
My future wife and i play together in my and her house. Also, we assist each other when required on farming and some quests.
i only want to know is it time to look for some other game?
    Allogeneous?

And, yeah, we hate PvP. :D

how do you know I'm nothing? (for all you know I could have a high end char with thousands of hours of experience in game), how do you even know I'm a dude?, this is proof enough to show you that you come to a conclusion without research/analysis, this is why I never consider your arguments, your judgement is fallacious and ill-logical.

I already provided proper reasoning as to why the features I suggested are beneficial to the gaming community, unlike you who is simply making tall claims that 'Twinking is a disaster upon the gaming community' , without one single reasonable argument. ludicrousness at is best!.

also, you don't even understand English now? (UN-educated/IL-literate I guess), I told you to stop making noises , not stop playing the game all-together..you're so immature (possibly of a young/childish age) and obviously have a lot to learn (no offense), I am trying to educate you and provide you with constructive criticisms, not just trying to prove you wrong and that I'm right or whatever, you keep blithering on over and over the same rhetoric, in-spite of my attempts to reconcile with you. you can keep pretending how you are right about your opinions, it doesn't prove a damn thing nor is it productive/useful for you, me or others.

further I not only presented arguments but also provided feature suggestions on this thread, which you haven't acknowledged also, nvm. I did not make any claims (I don't think you even know how to distinguish between a claim, logical argument and feature suggestion) there is a difference between modifying the game design and adding additional features, my suggestions do not 'violate the existing GTCs and the game operating parameters ' in anyway, hence they do not come under the category of design modification (e.g. for which are new character addition, map addition, guild wars etc..) and is merely a feature addition (e.g. for which is mount slot feature, hp/rage potion slot feature and pve ranking etc..) intended to enhance the user experience, one of which (the sitter feature) is fairly established in several browser based online games , as for the other features I suggested it is very much possible and not absurd in anyway. infact the one you suggested is what is both hilarious and lacking creativity/thought "An option to disable xp in thr settings, or something" lmao.. the game devs intentionally designed the gapping feature for reasons un-known (probably to aid f2ps to better/develop their characters easily), if it were a bug that is being exploited it would've been fixed by now, seriously, use your head for once...

    Cheers.

you are just being a [selfedit] (no offence), Forum-Apprentice/Greenhorn. you right, that's all I know about you. Mature educated greenhorn and a [selfedit]. thats you who is making noise here. that's you who started, and I didn't talk to you in the first place. and trust me I have much more experience than you, and I'm much more educated. If you have given your original desire at least a little bit of thinking, you wouldn't come up with that uber complicated sitter feature to implement simple xp-block, which could be just a dumb checkbox in the properties.
do you play since 2012? do you have 100k+ kills in pvp? do you have every item maxed out with glyphs? royal gems perhaps, farmed? are you a grand marshal? introduce yourself. maybe you are some newbie, who just reached lvl50 and cannot clear q1, and thus producing 'noise' here, or maybe you are real pro, daywalker5 (sry daywalker2) and we all should listen to your majesty.

but rolling back to your original statements, I will share my agreement with you in a couple of things.
    1. Their ToS are absolutely unclear, inconsistent, do not provide enough details into specific sections.
    2. Their rules could be considered illegal in multiple countries, especially if they enforce some of the subsections.
    3. Looking into just rules alone, you would have no idea what is allowed and what is not. I cannot get an answer from them on using gaming mouse.
    4. Their US rules are completely outdated (2011) and do not match those labeled (locale) UK/DE/Etc. Even as of today.
    5. They have some ridiculous stuff in their rules, for instance

'e. Bigpoint reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in Bigpoint’s sole discretion, engages in any of the prohibited activities. Prohibited activities include — but are not limited to — the following:'

    or

'Bigpoint offers its Games and Services exclusively to Users with respect to the Luxembourg Civil Code (Code de la consommation).' Like Americans care about Civil Law.

So I do agree with you the ToS is a complete mess, and they have to put it in order.

I really want to stop this until the mods do, so I apologize for the 'rant' and 'noise'. good luck with your 'feature requests'.

I am not Allogeneous but i can answer your question. There is no force on this planet that can prevent you having fun in the game with your family/friends.
    Have fun responsibly. :p

    Edited for better readability

    As for the OP's "suggestions":

    1. You are not in position to negotiate or make suggestions about the company's rules and conditions ... simple as that. They never asked anyone for our opinion/suggestion ... they just made public announcement: We are making changes in our GTC. Accept them or take a hike. :)
Ie. when you are taking loan from a bank ... you can't negotiate the conditions. The banksters would just tell you: these are our rules ... take it or leave it.

    2. You are lacking knowledge and experience ... and moreover you are trying to sell your personal greed as "feedback/suggestion".
None of your points are justified or correct ...

    - I am F2P ... I never spent a dime in the game. To compensate for it ... i am working for the community. You neither try to help someone nor you make yourself useful for the game. The game needs money to exist ... if you can't or you are not willing to spend it is not a big deal ... come join our community and lets work together so we can raise this game to the stars. That way we can promote the game ... we are the best advertisement for the game. The better the ad the bigger the player's pool is. More players in the game = more money for the game to develop further.
But no ... you won't do that because you spend your time twinking.

    - You can't sell your "Sentimental Movie" to me. ;)
As a F2P i ate all the dirt in the arena in my way up. I never started playing as a twink ... i started playing PVP at cap level.
My goal was to get all those cool PVP skills which could help me in PVE.

I have completed my goal long time ago ... when I got to level 40 PVP (cap at that time).
So i know exactly how playing PVP at cap level looks like ... it is not looking like you are describing it.
This is how PVP used to look for me

I have got beaten countless times ... they were wiping the arena floor with me. But you don't get successful by quitting ... ^this particular screenshot was taken during the first stellar gold event ... we only needed to participate in the battle so we can collect lucky coins. All my friends went in the back of the map so those Marshals can take the flag faster and the match can be put to an end faster. But not me ... I went to fight. I even killed few of them ... so instead of only few event coins I have got honor points as well.
That is how you climb PVP ladder ... not by twinking.
    And this is me today:

Bloodthirsty, unforgiving F2P as usual ;)

    - no one ever except me have played my character or have accessed my account ... NEVER. I would give them my wife ... rather than my password :D
So your other point is wrong as well.

    - Do i have low level characters? Sure I do
One of them is my level 13 SW created more than three and a half years ago

    Then (John9connor):

    Now:

Do i use it as a twink in the arena ... killing new players? No I don't.

I am taking him to the arena doing dailies sometimes (I only need to participate i don't need a kill or win) ... i am going without gear so they can kill me . The biggest reward for me are the messages I get after the fight is over: "Thank you :)".
No need to thank me you deserved your victory.
    Twinking has a price
Seeing happy people is priceless. ;)
I do encounter twinks sometimes ... ah what a joy leveling up a noob twink :D
They think they are using blockers so their job is done ... :D
Wrong ... they are noobs and don't know how the game is working. At first they were running around for exhaustion ... but they forgot I can outlive them (I know how) :D
Recently this exhaustion kill without taking XP was changed ... so now they are going for a death. They are wrong once again ... i can always die before them so they are getting XP and leveling up :D :D

So ... as I said your points are invalid.
As you can see you don't have to twink so you can be strong F2P.

BTW ... a few players from your server told me ... maybe you are not F2P as you claim :)

err are you talking to me?, do you even know who I am as an IGC?, I have been a f2p player up until this point (but I am planning to go p2p in the future (not too much though as the game is dying in my opinion)) and have little to no money (comparatively negligible amounts) spent in my character, and have never twinked (whatever that means) in my DSO gaming career.

and nope I'm not negotiating the GTCs, I am merely suggesting a new feature, without violating the existing GTCs, not my fault if you can't understand it. even @Allogeneous acknowledged it to be a potential/creative solution.

I think you have misunderstood Allogeneous. His comment was
and then he went on to itemize why the idea is not sound.

In other words, the time you spent thinking this idea up is appreciated. The idea however, is bad and most want nothing to do with it as it sets up the game to have very unhappy players. Unhappy players leave. No players = no game.

However I completely agree with this point of yours about promoting the game to bring back the old/lost player base and attract new players, and that is precisely why I am bringing up this new 'Feature-Model Suggestion' , I think it will play a vital role in attracting a new player base and improve the experience of the existing player base, if implemented based on the model I put-forth.

Sure I pretty much quit the game for several months now, and have not been active due to the dead server that I play in, the community that exists there and a general lack of interest/motivation (about which I can write essays about if I spend time, but yeah as you said it seems futile, so let's say this was a last ditched effort of mine to return to actively playing the game), so it doesn't matter. (this is just a dummy account of my mine, not my original one).

I believe if we are able to form a consensus over this as a whole community, anything is possible.

his critique was on the effect of the idea and issues in implementing/encouraging it and not on the idea itself, I just re-read it.

I'll wait for a reply from @Allogeneous himself towards my last post, that I posted as a reply to his.

I quote from his own reply to a similar suggestion on the forum "If you want the concept of XP-blocking buffs/potions to be seriously considered, you'd need to come up with a very good reason for it. I don't see that in the OP.
    Allogeneous, Sep 28, 2015 Report"

and I believe I have come with a good enough reason that's all.

and where do I say players solely quit because of twinks? It should be very easy to understand how constant losing would cause frustration which may result in quitting. Also, in lower levels the majority of complaints people around me made were regarding pvp imbalance.

You are making character inferences because somebody stops doing something that frustrates them? So are twinks cowards who do not have the guts to face higher level players but must prey on weaker players to bolster their fragile self worth? (not saying they are, just illustrating how pointless your assumption is)

    no

This is the first comment that I agree with. Why is this the case? Because normal human beings don't enjoy getting squashed by twinks so they only do their dqs. Every single non-twink I have met only did dqs before lvl 50 and some even skipped pvp altogether because of their frustration with it.

I made 0 correlations. What I made were logical inferences.

To you, newer players being frustrated may be a trivial issue. To me, twinks being frustrated is trivial, especially considering there are far fewer twinks than normal players and them quitting will not affect my game play in any way.

You contradict yourself in consecutive sentences. Is it all twinks that gave him/her a negative experience, or only a few rich blokes? The answer is quite obvious if you a) ever played the game at lower levels, and b) read the post again.

You will never be on the same level with a p2p character who has played the same number of hours as you. You will be competitive against p2p players that have played considerably less hours than you. This is the same at lvl 50.

I would like to flatter myself and think my exceptional skill is the cause of my pvp success, but since I know this game doesn't require a whole lot of skill other than point and click, it's hard to make this claim. I agree that this could be because there aren't many heavy payers. The point is p2p dominance is not a significant problem in this game if even a relative noob like me can be competitive in pvp.

On a final note, why are you expecting to be equal to "heavy payers"? Isn't it natural for heavy payers to have an advantage over you? Shouldn't you be expected to spend more time to compensate?

As I said before, this game is extremely f2p friendly. Even if you spend thousands of dollars, you can't buy gear and draken. Thus, a f2p player who has played a long time will always have a massive advantage over a heavy payer who just started the game.

you said Many people quit the game due to frustration after facing a defeat against twinks. and they cause harm , but failed to provide explanation as why 'twinks' play a pivotal role to this cause. your statements reflect the nature of a prognosis/hypothesis/theory but lacks background research. basically you jumped from observation to theory without doing a research, constructing a hypothesis just based on general observations is non-scientific.

how exactly do I contradict myself?, perhaps it is because you seem to have missed to read the core portion of my argument, which was "what I actually know for a fact (not just believe) is that the difference in 'gem quality, gop amount and gear quality' between the f2p and p2p community in the game is ridiculously high and to make things worse their effect on their cumulative stats is also getting ridiculously high so much so much they 'the p2p toons' literally walk the park in every match against an/every f2p char (this is from personal experience at higher level pvp). I have been talking about this issue for several months/half a year now after r155. but BP hasn't done anything about it/to address it yet.".

You keep distorting my statements for some reason, what I actually said was to be on a 'competitive level' and not equal level, which is necessary to enjoy fair game-play and avoid outright dominance of p2p players in the arena (these are arguments that allogenous brought up against twinking and the same hold for p2p players as well)
Very wrong statement, this game is becoming extremely 'pay to win' friendly with every event that is introduced being a major grind and only easy/non-stressful way to complete them is to buy the event progress. maybe your lack of experience of higher level stages in game is to blame?. try fighting against some of the p2p DKs at 50 lvl in Tegan server with a f2p toon and you'll know what I mean (most people don't last even seconds against them), and I can only imagine it to be much worse on other servers (which have a larger p2p player base community) .

can I get a reply to the last post that I made against your reply? here it is again,
that's not entirely what I said, you missed the lines "when there are so many restriction employed", please do look into the restrictions I suggested and tell me how they could be exploited?, I think I've given it fair enough of thought, (if there are ways to exploit then one could always add more restrictions to address that) rather than concluding that it is an unsafe option due to certain "very very good reasons" only seems very very vague to me :/, and very very evasive too xD...(no offense).

    I am sentenced in absentia.
    You sooooo wrong.

I guess u are on Grimmag to?
My girl is Bogdanka78, level 45. She is not a maniac like i am. I play every day. And i like it so far, here and there:), because i relax playing it.
My goal is not to be better than you or anyone else in this game.
This is my first MMORPG. Till this game, i play only offline RPGs.
My goal is to play all aspects of game (except PvP) in relax mode. I don't scan forum for instructions how to be stronger or internet how to twink (today i learned the meaning of the twink and i still do not understand what is exploit - I have still not google for an explanation) etc. I may be reached a 50% of what i need to be after 2,5 years. Crafting is too expensive for me (Jesters give me 10k andermats two days ago:cool:). Fatal in PW are maximum for my ranger. I walk in to Kalys cave in PW and immediately die. I beat Balor ONCE after ~ 30-40 death...
You can say i do not know how to play. Probably you are right. But, Relaxation is on top of all.

I am not 100% FtP. I did not say that. To this date, i spend ~ 30€, i think - one monthly Premium and several premiums for two days, but in Sargon event i needed his bow and bought some anders via SMS to collect it.
Thanks to Serbian government, I spend so little. ;)

are you 100% sure that i am the guy for whom they told you?

It feels strange, when you not guilty doining what you're love to do, and you're being charged for something you did not do. I do not know what else to say...

    My question still remains.

    P.S.
I don't like PvP, really.

Of course it is non-scientific. I would have called you a troll if you weren't so serious in your other posts. When non-twinks play against twinks, barring some exceptional circumstances like lag, they will always lose. It is just natural to assume people will get frustrated after losing repeatedly in pvp in matches they have 0 chance to win over and over again (also confirmed by many anecdotal accounts on forums). It is also natural to assume people will quit if they are frustrated enough.

As I wrote in the quote, you contradict yourself on whether you are claiming rich blokes or all twinks in general cause bad experiences for low level players. Regarding your main point, I already addressed it in a later paragraph.

Look, as a f2p player, I would like nothing more than bp to completely get rid of all payment options including premium. I quit an mmo game a couple years ago where I was one of the strongest f2p players in the server because the game kept adding new features that made it impossibly difficult for f2p players. With DSO it's the complete opposite: the only thing keeping me around is how easy it is to play it f2p.

Did I said anything about me hating F2P? Don't act all high and mighty when your sentence is show the opposite.
And F2P community's only hope? Where are the other members of that 'community'? Do you really want to say that you are speaking for ALL of those F2P players? All I see is you, yes, only you trying to justify your reason with non relevant argument and using 'smart' phrase just to look, idk, highly educated? Don't make me laugh.
I myself an F2P. All of my guild mates are F2P.
Well, I bought premium once. Wait, so what am I? A heavy payer? Where do you draw the line between F2P and P2P? Please enlighten me, professor.

  20. I didn't ignore your "restrictions". I read them and then immediately discounted them. There's a difference.

Here are some of my concerns about the concept of permitting a/c sharing. No.... lets not leave any wiggle room here. Here are some of the reasons why I absolutely reject any proposal for permitting/enabling a/c sharing and why, if Big Point ever stated that it was going to be implemented, I would inform them to start looking for a new DSO EN Team Leader:

    1) Legal/Contractual
When you create a DSO a/c you enter into an agreement with Big Point (and with a third party entity if you sign up via Syfy, Facebook, Kongregate, Armor Games, etc) to do and to refrain from doing certain things. Some random player who you give your a/c access to is not bound by said agreement as they never accepted it. Whatever they do to/with your character and/or a/c is your responsibility and your problem - just as if you had done it yourself.

    2) Support
As I said further back in this thread, I have been processing DSO EN Support tickets since early 2013. In that time, I have dealt with multiple hundreds of "hacked" a/c claims. Take a guess as to how many were actual hacked a/cs. Take your time. Got a number ready? If it's greater than 0, you are wrong. Every single case was because:
    a) The player visited a scam phishing site offering free andermants/gold/stat boosts if only they enter their a/c details, or
    b) They used a bot or some other illegal script which had a keylogger embedded in it, or
    c) It was a failed trade - they attempted to purchase the a/c from someone else and got shafted or they attempted to sell the a/c to someone else and got shafted, or
    d) They let a "friend" access their a/c and said friend screwed them over
Around 75% are d). Their "friend" has deleted their a/c and/or characters and/or items and/or active quests and/or spent all of their andermants/gold/drakens/glyphs, etc. Now, I know I should say to them: "Tough excrement. You violated the BP DSO T&Cs of Use. Your problem. Too bad, how sad. Ta-ta.", but I can't. I know the amount of work which player have put into developing their characters, and I know how much the characters can mean to the players. After ensuring that I am communicating with the actual a/c owner, and after giving them a firm bollocking for being an utter dorkus, I do my best to recover their characters and items. All of this takes up a hell of a lot of my time. And your "restrictions", unless the only thing they allow a pilot to do is to view the character, will not prevent this.

    3) Fair play
Each person creates an a/c + characters. They go through the tutorial maps, they learn how to play. They make silly mistakes, they ask questions, they read the forum + wiki page, they learn some more and they improve their character.. They nurture their character and hep it grow. That's the "buzz" of the game - that and social interaction. If you let someone else jump on your character and play it - do events, open new dungeons/towns, etc - where is that sense of achievement? And where is their sense of achievement knowing all they are doing with their time is helping make someone else's character stronger. One they don't own and have no rights to. May as well just join the Korean/Chinese version of DSO and let a bot do your gaming for you. And, if the "buzz" of developing your character yourself doesn't bother you, look at the flip side: as with running a bot, you are gaining an unfair advantage over those players who don't cheat and who play the game as it was intended. If that doesn't bother you either, then go find another game to play instead.

    4) Who the %$#& are you?
    Two parts to this one
    a) Support/legal: If an a/c pilot - either one with "anger management issues" or one who is deliberately trying to set you up - utters a colourful series of expletives in the game chat (especially extreme racist/homophobic/sexual/political hate rants), the implications for your a/c will be swift and, most likely, permanent. Who the actual person was who was in control of the a/c at the time is irrelevant. Your a/c. Your problem.
    b) Friend/trust: everyone in the game interacts with other players and, over time, builds up a list of those who they like/admire and those who they would prefer to keep at several galaxies distance from. If no-one knows who is actually piloting a character, it is impossible to know whether a "friend" or "foe" (or skilled/noob) pilot is in charge. Or, even worse, it could be an utter creep who has been stalking/harassing you and who you've blocked... only now to turn up operating a trusted friend's character.

These are just some of the reasons I can think of off the top of my head. I am sure I could come up with a bunch more. But I really can't be arsed. So, in conclusion, just in case you still think there may be wiggle room in there somewhere:

    ^ wot he said
