been gone for a while, wondering what is now the best swords [1/H] and armor

 

Best of the best are the regular legendary equipment and weapons with high golden lines.

 

1H, probably an axe with 3× increased weapon damage and 1× +damage, all gold lines. Buf somebody will have to do the math.

Per wikipedia,
The golden line is a type of Latindactylic hexameter frequently mentioned in Latin classrooms in English speaking countries and in contemporary scholarship written in English.

In DSO it is a stat of the item colored yellow/gold. very high stat. for example 18% attack speed for 1h weapon, or 15%-17% critical damage for rings/belts.

You can find more about enchantments on items here. It should give you an idea on the limitations and possibilities offered on items.
Gold lines are nothing more than values marked in-game to state they are close to a maximal value (as in seb's example above, maximum critical damage on rings is 17% so the game considers a value of 15.3% as close to maximal). Doesn't mean you might not be happy with an enchantment of 14.8% critical damage for instance if it's good enough at this point for your character.
