Bug on additional skill bar Drakensang Online

Watch the skills of the right, which uses the mouse, when changing the option from number one to number two, are not recorded

that is intended, yes"

I am sad, my desire is that the bar be whole. Here's my suggestion then.

Another suggestion is to make a padlock on the bar, so that during the game, avoid accidentally removing some skill, especially during the excitement of PvP.

 

It is not a bug.

 

The additional skill bar is only for keys no for a mouse. It is bad but it is not a bug.

 

So the new skillbars are more useless than I think.
At now they are usefull only for emote

 

I've found the second Bar to be quite useful to the contrary. I have a G13 and here is my setup:



I talk all about it in "Release 182" discussion board. (don't know how to reference that here yet)
I've got pretty efficient use of 12 of 14 skills.

 

You have enanched 12 skills in talent tab?

Every time you must use mind control you press G20 - G12 then G21?
Or if you want 2nd singularity you press G20-G12-G21-G10?

I would not hurt a hand for a game

My idea for use secondary skill bar is set 1st for farm and 2nd for tank or PVP.
Until we can't have a 2° setting for wisdom and honor points (like talent) I'll never spent andermants to buy new skillbars.

 

No no no no. It's not that hard.
When I use mind control i press G20, G12.
Then I want Frost cone I press G20, G10.
Then I want Lightning Stike I press G11.
Then I press the right mouse button a couple times.
Then I want Lightning Strike I press G11.
Then I want Meteor I press G16.

See? The 1 to 7 keys always bring back the Bar 1. The G21 key serves as a cancel Bar 2 key.

 

That is a pretty sweet set up you have. The G13 is a very nice unit for gamers. I have one but do not use it simply because I want my desktop an gaming laptop to function the same (use a G910 keyboard w/ desktop and G502 gaming mouse on both.)

Still, I feel that once you get some experience at level 50 you'll find that second row less useful. The number of skills you will be using will be fewer. This is simply due the the number of skill points available and the need to optimize the most useful skills. Also you should be playing more painful and up maps where bombs will be useless. As far as buffs go I really do not use them. Ofc, I use the ones I get as rewards but do not get any more from merchants so most of the time I have none.

Also without programmable gaming devices the second bar is cumbersome to use.

I have Deluxe on my main acct w/ lvl 50 toons and to this point I have done nothing with the addition skill bar (I have not even put emotes there ) Who knows though, perhaps future changes in the game may make this feature useful.

If you want to be able to use a g13 and a laptop keyboard, then you can make keys G8-G14 the 1 to 7 and build around that and make one of the thumb/mouse buttons the stand still button. That way, you still have the finger memory to adapt back to a laptop keyboard.

 

A few days ago the number of skills I was using was 2 fewer. The Mind Control was behind the tab key and as much fine tuning I've tried, it was still unreliable. Ocasionally it would get stuck on the right mouse and I'd be stuck trying to unsuccessfully use my main skill.

The second bar has made that skill reliable in casting. The other benefit is the frost cone (don't remember real name), which I've not used in over 20 levels. It is useful even in its basic state. I've got 3 more points coming (lvls 48-50) that will give me MC Taunting and bring MC to be almost as useful as Guardian. The rest of my points are pretty much set in stone and are all on the skills on Bar 1.

The buffs are also ones I EARNED, not bought. A long time ago I would buy the 30 min ones, but they are mostly useless. However, the 3 min ones were too hard to use in the middle of a battle and that may now change. It is too be determined.

Now that I've a way to actually use the bombs, of course they become mostly useless. However, I do have lower level characters that when I get back to them will benefit.

My laptop has 2 G13 keyboards. One that travels with it, and one that stays on my office desk. I was using G keyboards for programming years before I learned how to use them to game.
My home desktop also has a G13 and that is where I do 99% of my gaming.

Where I have the 1 to 7 keys layed out is the result of years of testing. And I'm a 35-45 word per minute typist. I have no problem shifting between them.

 

But if you use G20, G12 then you've selected bar 2 so if you want use Lightning Strike you must press G21 to return to bar1 then G11 or I'm wrong?

You are incorrect. The G13 keyboard does both key mapping and macros. The "1 (R)" key is actually a macro that sequentially presses "1" and then "Num 1", which casts Frozen Sphere and then shifts the bar back to 1.

So pressing the sequence "G20, G12, G12" has the effect of shifting to bar 2, casting Mind Control, shifting to bar 1, and casting Guardian.

Yes, I can't upgrade all the skills. Please read the post #14 just before this one that I wrote on this.

 

Anyway you're bannable...I know that any kind of macro (a sequence of key) is not allowed in game (in italian forum moderator said that times ago) because them give you an advantage over other players.

Something changed?

 

Yes, we got a second+ Bars.

And anyone can go buy a G13. I do not have the same equipment that many other players have. I still use a PS2 Logitech Trackman Marble +, because it is the best mouse/trackball ever created and I haven't found anything that works near as good.

Hmmmm.... I'm an industrial programmer (Logic controllers, SCADA systems, HMIs, etc.). I will have to think on this. What I'm doing does not place excessive load on the system, nor does it influence normal gameplay. Still, will have to meditate on it.

I've a gaming keyboard/mouse and I wish use these programmable keys but...I asked support and the reply was something like this:
"it is allowed the use of gaming devices but not the use of sequence of keys"
and quoted this part of terms

So nothing changed

 

Yeah, I don't do macros on my G13 for this game for the reasons everybody mentions. All I do is remap single keystrokes.
